Bigger and smaller is a matter of perspective. What is big to one is not worth mentioning to another. So, to see this issue clearly, one has to see what is really going on. Perspective is a word thrown around willy-nilly, but it is the limitation with which one views the world. When you have no perspective, then the world is your oyster.
So, with Awake, I didn’t intend to create a big thing, but to others, it may seem so. And indeed, I have used the words big and various synonyms to explain the opportunity. But words are always used to communicate with others, not to become confused by them. A better word to use is perhaps Complete. Think of a complete solution, not a bigger solution.
When we think of whole ecosystems, then holistic solutions can emerge. When we take the perspective of a participant in such an ecosystem, then we limit ourselves from the whole. So why be limited? When one is operating in the world, then operate! Why be shy about it?
What impact do you want to have on the world? Are you clear on what you mean by world? Because your world, my world, and someone else’s world are their own perceptions, no? So, if you remove the perception filter, then perhaps we can speak about the world out there else it is only the world in your mind, your own idea of it, limited as it surely is.
So do not think bigger! Do not think! Act! Solve real problems with complete solutions. Do not go halfway; go all the way. Live boldly and act boldly; the impact you have is limited or unlimited by your own intelligence. Allow that internal nascent intelligence to guide you rather than your ideas of big and small. A problem that needs a solution does not know whether it is big or small or if the impact it will create is big or small.
Thinking can become bigger and bigger until there is no need to think. Action that unleashes more intelligence becomes your guide to solving the problems of the various human aspects of life you are dealing with. Work, play, education, travel, lifestyle, and a million other things, these are all aspects of life, and we can solve them when we live fully.
And living does not require thinking, and it requires actually living it! That is only action, which uncovers more things to act upon. Life becomes an intelligent flow and the value you will unleash will spread far and wide. This is the principle upon which Awake is built; it is about becoming aware of one’s own limitlessness by recognizing the limits one has placed on oneself.
And so I stopped acknowledging ideas and beliefs that emerged from my own faulty mind, and became entirely clear that the ecosystem to improve is no different than the “world”. It was not big or small, it was just the world in which I live, and my relationship to that which is the “other”. When this relationship became clear, I also became awake to the opportunity it represented: a better way to relate to the world just means a better way to relate to others. And in the world of business, what industry is not based on a human relationship and human understanding of the need and solution?
So is it not intelligent to address the world one lives in, to create a better more efficient one for everyone? And where better to begin than with entrepreneurs: they are the believers, the crazy ones. And that is the world I designed: 1M entrepreneurs, 10M communities or platforms or ventures, and 100M income streams. It was a logical way to manage the task at hand.
So, thinking bigger does not enter into it. Do… or do not. There is no try, and there is no thinking.
